The former home of the Conservative Club and HSBC’s private bank headquarters, 78 St James’s Street, has been recently refurbished to provide 110,000 sq ft of premium office accommodation, enhanced by a pavilion extension rooftop terraces, and additional amenities including a wellness suite and café-bar.
The redevelopment was carried out by BentallGreenOak with architects Squire & Partners. They had to carefully consider the Georgian heritage and Grade II* listed design elements balanced alongside the needs of modern office occupiers. Set in the heart of the West End with views over Westminster and Green Park, 78 St James’s Street needed a wayfinding and signage system which struck a delicate balance between the past, present, and future. And Endpoint was appointed to implement it.
