Step into the explosive world of Transformers with [4K] Transformers: The Ride-3D at Universal Studios Hollywood, located in the Lower Lot right next to the entrance to Super Nintendo World. This ultra-immersive dark ride combines real motion, special effects, and massive 3D screens to bring the battle between Optimus Prime and Megatron to life like never before. Join Evac, an Autobot created exclusively for the ride, as you race through cityscapes, dodge enemy fire, and protect the AllSpark from falling into the hands of the Decepticons in this high-octane attraction.

Transformers: The Ride-3D is a multi-sensory thrill ride that launched at Universal Studios Hollywood in May 2012. Designed by Universal Creative, Oceaneering International, and Industrial Light & Magic, the ride cost $100 million to develop. It uses a 2,000-foot-long track, cutting-edge ride vehicles with 360-degree motion, and towering 60-foot screens to immerse guests in scenes pulled straight from the Transformers film franchise.

Riders join the NEST (Nonbiological Extraterrestrial Species Treaty) base operation, receiving a mission briefing from characters like General Morshower and Ironhide before grabbing 3D glasses and boarding their Evac ride vehicle. Once underway, guests experience intense battle scenes, practical effects and a city-wide chase climaxing in a dramatic final confrontation between Megatron and Optimus Prime.

The ride occupies the space once home to the Backdraft and Special Effects Stage attractions. After construction began in 2010, Transformers: The Ride-3D officially opened on May 25, 2012, with version in Universal Studios Singapore opening 3 December 2011, Universal Studios Florida 20 June 2013 and Universal Studios Beijing (Transformers: Battle for the AllSpark) September 20, 2021

Universal Studios Hollywood itself has a rich legacy, opening to the public in 1964 as a studio tour that gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at movie magic. Over the decades, it evolved into a world-renowned theme park with major attractions themed to iconic franchises like Jurassic World, The Simpsons, Harry Potter, and Fast & Furious. It’s the only Universal park where visitors can tour an actual working film studio. The park is split into the Upper Lot and Lower Lot, connected by massive outdoor escalators known as the Starway. The Lower Lot is home to thrill rides such as Transformers: The Ride-3D, Revenge of the Mummy, Jurassic World – The Ride, and the recently opened Super Nintendo World.
