Thai Acting Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said he told U.S. President Donald Trump that Thailand was not the aggressor in its escalating border conflict with Cambodia. During their phone call, Trump urged an immediate ceasefire and a return to previous agreements. Anutin insisted Cambodia must withdraw troops and remove landmines before any halt in operations. The two neighbours have been exchanging rockets and artillery along their disputed frontier, prompting renewed U.S. intervention to salvage the fragile truce Trump brokered earlier this year.
