The Loop Wedge is a tool I designed and had molded. They say, “necessity is the mother of all inventions.” I needed an accurate and precise way to measure my D-loop that was already installed on my bow string, and also a way to measure a length of material that would generate a finished D-Loop that exact desired length.

The D-Loop is a very important piece of our archery equipment and serves several purposes. It's not just a place to attach a release aid to the bowstring. The D-Loop should be considered part of the archer’s overall draw length equation. I use the draw length of the bow and the D-Loop length to enable me to move the string on my face for proper fit. The D-Loop also absorbs torque/twist from the archer turning their hand to fit their anchor. The D-Loop that the majority of archers use today is also an extremely accurate way to launch the arrow off the string.
