In the developing world, Antonia, Miki and Radha (the co-founding twin sisters and friend behind THINX) discovered that many women and girls are missing almost a week of work or school every month (if not dropping out entirely or getting pregnant early) simply because they don't have the resources to properly manage on the days they need to most. Also, they are often using unimaginable things like sticks, leaves, mud or rags.

Thinx and their partners at AFRIpads are helping to change this.
