An 81-year-old christian woman who was a resident of Ghaziabad, succumbed to COVID-19. Her last wish was that her funeral should be performed according to Hindu rituals and not by Christian traditions. She wanted her family to cremate her body after her death on funeral pyre and then the ashes to be buried in cemetery. After her death, her family brought her body to the Hindu Crematorium in sector 94 in Uttar Pradesh's Noida. Although there are Christian cemetery in Noida which are taking in COVID dead bodies too but the family members told us that this was done solely because the family wanted to fulfil the woman's last wish.
