In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to correctly set the preload on the sliders of the Rollon X-Rail series. The X-Rail line features profiled steel rails available in zinc-plated, nitrided, and stainless steel versions, combined with bearing sliders. The nitrided “Plus” version offers higher load capacity, increased durability, and long maintenance intervals thanks to its self-lubricating system and integrated wipers that keep the rails clean even in harsh environments.
Step by step, you’ll learn how to adjust the preload using the proper tools — including a torque wrench and either an open-end or hex key, depending on the slider type. We’ll guide you through removing the wipers, adjusting the eccentric bearing, applying threadlocker, and verifying smooth, precise motion along the rail.
