This video shows the final boss battles from "Wonder Boy V: Monster World III" (japanese version) and "Wonder Boy in Monster World" (english version) for Sega Genesis.
The difference between the 2 versions of the final boss is night and day. In the japanese version of the game, I'm wondering if I'll even get hit once. In the english version, I'm hoping I'll manage to get through the fight alive. -_-
In the english version turets' lasers can randomly change direction mid-air (and don't hit the boss himself), the floor changes into a threadmill that periodically changes direction, and a buzzsaw moves around the ground. Basically, you get tossed around with little control over your character while everything is trying to kill you - and you're supposed to repeatedly hit the boss' weak point during all that.
