I show you how to make海南雞飯. 海南 is the name of an island located in the south of China, 雞 means chicken and 飯 rice. This Hainanese chicken rice dish is also known in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. The chicken is boiled in water. Then its broth is used to cook the rice. A hot chilli or ginger sauce is served to accompany the dish. In this video I show you another way to cook this traditional recipe. The chicken is baked in a salt crust to obtain a tender, juicy and tasty meat.
