This tutorial shows a step-by-step demonstration of creating a simple and basic sewage hydraulic model using Bentley SewerGEMS Connect Edition in about 20 minutes.
Here are our steps:
Creating DXF file for pipes/conduits
Importing DXF file into SewerGEMS using "Model Builder"
Creating selection sets for network elements
Assigning network outfall
Assigning pipes/conduits physical characteristics (initial diameters/roughness coefficients)
Adjusting "Design Constraints" & choosing appropriate engine
Entering elevation data and outfall data manually
Assigning fixed flows for some structures
Validating hydraulic model
Running hydraulic model & checking results
