DIVISIBILITY RULES from 2 to 13 are given here for your ready reference.
A number is said to be divisible by another number if upon dividing no remainder is left.
Let us see the Rules:
Divisibility Rule of 1 : Every number is divisible by 1
Divisibility Rule of 2 : A number is divisible by 2 if its unit digit is any of 0,2,4,6,8
Divisibility Rule of 3 : A number is divisible by 3 if the sum of digits of the number is divisible by 3.
Divisibility Rule of 4 : A number is divisible by 4 if the number formed by its last two digits is divisible by 4 or last two digits are zero.
Divisibility Rule of 5 : A number is divisible by 5 if the unit digit of the number is either 0 or 5.
Divisibility Rule of 6 : A number is divisible by 6 if the number is divisible by both 2 and 3.
Divisibility Rule of 7 or 13 : Let us divide the number into groups of 3 digits, starting from the right . Then find the difference between sum of numbers in even and odd groups. If the difference is either 0 or divisible by 7 or 13, then the number is divisible by 7 or 13.
Divisibility Rule of 8 : A number is divisible by 8 if the number formed by its last three digits is divisible by 8 or last three digits are zero.
Divisibility Rule of 9 : A number is divisible by 9 if the sum of digits of the number is divisible by 9.
Divisibility Rule of 10 : A number is divisible by 10 if the unit digit of the number is 0 .
Divisibility Rule of 11 : A number is divisible by 11 if the difference of the sums of even places and odd places is either 0 or divisible by 11.
Divisibility Rule of 12 : A number is divisible by 12 if the number is divisible by both 4 and 3.
Hence we learn that a number is divisible by another number, if it is divisible by its co-prime factors.
Students, Hope you will follow these rule meticulously and you will find Mathematics no longer hard.
In future we may extend Divisibility of any number by 17,19,23,....... in a separate video.
This part is very important for the beginners, CBSE, ICSE & all school going students & also for all competitive exams. To learn the ways / rules please follow the video from beginning to end. Otherwise your knowledge will be incomplete.
The proper knowledge of this part will make you efficient in solving Mathematical Problems.
So, please try to learn these rules. For any difficulties write without hesitation in this video.
I think these rules will fulfill your needs.
Best of Luck.
