Kick off the day with a steaming cup of chai by the world’s highest saltwater lake – Pangong Tso – its unreal turquoise waters glowing against the rugged mountains. Then saddle up on our trusty Royal Enfields for one of the most breathtaking (and challenging!) rides yet!
We leave the lake behind and twist along a narrow valley hugging the raging Shyok River. The scenery shifts dramatically around every corner – from stark rocky cliffs to jaw-dropping Himalayan vistas that never get old.
But this route isn’t for the faint-hearted: expect sandy patches, rocky sections, possible flooding, and rough conditions from harsh winter wear. It’s raw, unpredictable adventure at its best!
Finally, the mountains open up into Nubra Valley – vast sand dunes meet green, leafy villages in this surreal high-desert paradise. Our stay tonight is pure tranquility – the perfect spot to unwind after the day’s thrills.
