Previously we took a look at the low rise models, all with 1m/s rated speeds. Now we move into the mid-rise models with a rated speed of 1.75m/s. Fortunately all the lifts shown here except one have working announcements. Their higher speed meant that there were more characteristics for comparison, particularly their behaviour for short distance travels between floors.
Overall a very interesting transition period over the 3 models shown here, whereby from the first to the second there was a major update in the machinery and controller yet the aesthetics remained largely the same. Conversely, while the design underwent a complete overhaul from the second to the third model, the changes to the machinery and controller were nowhere as drastic.
