Matt and Jodie here from Oregon E-Bikes. We got another break in the rain. So we decided to get out and test the brand new lineup from BMC Switzerland, which we're really excited about.

So cool.

We're expanding our line with BMC this year and it's what you've been waiting for. These are all under 39 pounds under...

Under 38 I think they're all under 38.

Under 38 pounds.

Yeah, with a few different variants and they're all full carbon frames, which is really cool. And I'd say, the big thing is how well they ride. They feel like a regular bike. I've ridden them with the assist off and you can still accelerate really quickly for lifting them. They're so light and yeah, amazing overall. I think a really unique bike lineup that no one else offers.

So Matt, you just tested the city lineup. So it's the Alpenchallenge Amp City. And within that series there is what we call the one we call the LTD. How'd you find them?

Yeah, I found them both really nice rides. I would say the city LTD is more my preference because I love that Shimano E-8,000 motor that comes with this one. It's lighter, it's got a little more or a lot more torque and it's just, it's fun. It flies. The one is really nice. Same great frame, integrated. Both of them have the dampening so you get a really smooth ride. This one has the Shimano E-6,100 motor, not quite as much torque but bang for your buck. $1,700 less, a little bit a step down in the components. But man for the value for the money, 4,299 to get a full carbon bike that is that lightweight, 37 pounds and that fun to ride. Great value.

And I was really excited to take the cross series out and actually this Alpenchallenge amp cross one was my bike of choice this past summer.

You rode that a lot.

Yeah, it was our foray into the E-Gravel segment and it was really fun. So I got to go up and way up into the hills on some long steep gravel rides and it performed really well. Super lightweight, which leads me to the LTD. Kicking it up even more, which is kind of hard to believe, but here you've got electronic shifting on this bike. You've got a super lightweight set of components in addition to that and you also have just this clean cockpit. It's just an all around beautiful bike in addition to having the Shimano E-8,000 motor compared to the 6,100 on this Alpenchallenge amp cross one. So more powerful and it'll get you farther and faster and up those steep gravel hills and then it's just a real pleasure to ride around town too.

Yeah, I love how the cross has a little bit wider, grippier tires than the city line. The city line does come with the fenders and the integrated lights, so they get choose in your application. For greater around town commuters, these are phenomenal, gravel roads. I mean, we could add lights to those and make them do everything, but that's sort of the separation is the city does have the fenders and the lights.

We'd really encourage you to come test them out anytime you can. They're going to blow your mind with how lightweight, fun, nimble.
