Premise: The “Infection”, or what is known as “The evil eye” unknowingly lurking among the clans, comes from the Dark Forest. The infection was created by Starclan, as a form of punishment towards evil cats.
When Brambleclaw killed Hawkfrost, the fox trap was able to reach into the Dark Forest, having the infection cling onto Hawkfrost even after death.
Time passes, and Hawkfrost and Tigerstar finally see a cat easy enough to have their infection spread, Ivypool. Her envy towards her sister Dovewing meant that she would do anything to make her look bad.
Tiger and Hawk give Ivy a mouse, which led Ivy to believe it was spoiled fresh kill (and at the time, Ivy didn't know this mouse was covered in the infection), and she thought making Dove sick would be a good way to release her anger towards her.
But little did Ivy know, she would end up regretting that impulsive decision…
