This cut removes the portion of the scene where Maul ignites his lightsaber and tells Q'ire they'll be working closely together. The audience doesn't need to know this information (and if we do we'd be shown it in a Solo sequel). There's no purpose for Maul to ignite his lightsaber other than fan service, and if you watch the scene attempting to understand why Maul ignites his lightsaber we see its done simply to look "cool".
