On December 8th, 2015, Charlotte met Jack Shepherd for the first and only time after connecting through the dating app OKCupid. After dinner at The Shard, Shepherd invited her onto his speedboat on the River Thames.

Hours later, Charlotte’s body was recovered from the water. A post-mortem ruled she died from cold water immersion. Shepherd was unharmed.

What first appeared to be a tragic accident soon became the focus of a complex police investigation. As evidence mounted, Shepherd’s account of the crash began to unravel, ultimately leading to a charge of manslaughter.

With access to Charlotte’s family and those central to the investigation, this documentary reveals the devastating impact on her loved ones and the truth behind a case that shocked the nation.
