Siemens Mobile is a German mobile phone manufacturer. It was in phones of this brand that innovations such as a color screen, MP3 player, slider form factor, and memory cards appeared for the first time. Due to the fairly high quality the phones were popular in the world.
The 45 and 55 series phones were very successful, but the next 65 series could not successfully compete with phones from other manufacturers due to for not very successful technical solutions and poor management. The 75 series did not improve the situation, and in 2005 the Siemens Mobile division was declared unprofitable, and in October of the same year it was sold to BenQ.
The latest Siemens mobile phones were released in November 2005.
