Israel will open an embassy in Rwanda. Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says his country wants to have observer status in the African Union as it is interested in being part of advancing projects on the continent.
Netanyahu was meeting presidents from some countries in Africa who attended President Uhuru Kenyatta and deputy president William Ruto's inauguration. He missed the event as he arrived in the afternoon. Sharon Barang'a with the details.
