Transcript: Raleigh distillery is a craft distillery located in a nebula north Carolina where we specialize in small batch whiskey blends. Our approach to blending is taking uniquely different bourbon or whiskey is with different recipes or mash bills matching those are blending those together to create a unique expression. So to create our blend, I spent two years hand selecting barrels from around the country to come up with our unique blended whiskey. Each small batch uses the same three types of bourbon, but each batch tastes totally different. Our goal was to have a new small batch every two months and in between that would do a limited release. We worked with a local beekeeper here, Baxter's bees at Isabel in and we took three different distinct honeys, blending them together, put them in an empty 17 year bourbon barrel. So we'll do a limited release honey cask finish bourbon to roll out this fall. We went through a lot of planning from the bottle design, to the packaging, to the branding itself and then also the ambiance of the space that we have. We reclaim the lumber from the rafters as 50 year old time because and then we went down the street and the locals Evelyn bass wood Werksman helped craft the bar and the table. What I wanted to showcase though was when you walked through the doors, the essence of everything that we do. So the stills right when you walk in. In addition to that, we've got an event space where we host private events, weddings, things such as that and for me, the most exciting aspect of our business is the back end where we house all of our bourbon and our barrels on site here. If you walk back here with me, you'll notice it's a bit warmer relative to the front of our building. And that's because this area is unconditioned space. You want unconditioned space because how whiskey ages is they use the seasonal temperature swings. So this time of year, for example, it's warmer. But what that means is that whiskey is expanding in the barrel deep into the wood as the temperature cools again in the winter, it contracts. So all of that flavor that it picked up in the wood from that bourbon and now pulls back in. So flavors evolve continuously. Our flagship brand is called the Old Riley Whiskey Society and it sounds like something you can join, like a club and it is the thought was that, hey, what if we rolled out a brand where we create unique expressions but also allow for those enthusiasts that want to learn about the art of bourbon or whiskey, they can come here and they can learn about barrel dumping and sampling right out the barrel as we're starting to develop the blend To educational aspects of Bourbon 101. So really just a schoolhouse, if you will, uh, something that we offer here for those that have any sort of appetite for whiskey or bourbon. We also have a selection of craft cocktails, craft beers and then also we've got a wine menu and non alcoholic drinks as well. We try to have a healthy mix of entertainment and events. The steady array of food trucks are here thursday through sunday, we have live music on Fridays and saturday nights. Music being go on Tuesdays are event space, host of pop Up Market once a month, and I'll host tastings, workshops, educational classes, things like that.
