A week in Montana's snowiest town, Cooke City in the middle of winter.
Although I visit Cooke City several times each year, this was my first time making the journey in winter.
Due to the heavy snow in the area all the roads leading to Cooke City are closed in the winter, except for the north road of Yellowstone National Park which they keep open solely so Cooke City isn't completely cut off from the rest of the world.
The heavy snow and closed roads make Cooke City a mecca for snowmobiling. People come to Cooke City from all over the country to snowmobile in the winter.
