Cyproheptadine has got side effects and cyproheptadine is in very less use. Only in rare cases we are using cyproheptadine we call it as cyclical vomiting syndrome where in patients have repeated vomiting and that is when patients use cyproheptadine. Otherwise cyproheptadine should not be used for a long time. Nowadays even the government has put restrictions on the use of cyproheptadine regularly.
