Lois's Journey: From Stroke to Strength with WNH Swing Bed

She then spent 30 days in our Swing Bed program, with a heavy focus on rehabilitation and regaining her independence. Now, she can sit and stand with a walker, walk short distances, and perform tasks crucial to her current lifestyle. We caught up with her towards the end of her stay at WNH as she shared about her experience with our team, specifically recognizing physical therapist assistant Becca, certified occupational therapy assistant Juliet, and occupational therapist Heather. She says, “They truly care...and while they can 'work you to death,' I know it's making all the difference in my recovery." Lois’s incredible recovery story follows a challenging time in her life, having recently lost her husband, battling two cancers, and adjusting to a new stent placement.
