HISTORY:
======
"Starship Troopers" is a 1997 film by Paul Verhoeven that I had the privilige of working on while emploed by Santa Monica, CA visual effects studio, "Banned From The Ranch Entertainment". As lead animator and designer I was responsible for the complete set of "Fed Net" motion graphics and title packages peppered throughout the film. Federal Network title sequences punctuate the action and both open and close the film with military propaganda messaging.
Working with the project's Producers at BFTR, Van Ling and Casey Cannon, Technical Director, Eric Ippen and my Production Supervisor, Gail Wise I managed to deliver all of the shots on time and to the director's satisfaction.
My favorite bits are the flaming "War" transition which I worked closely with Van Ling to create and the Federal Network Eagle Logo.
The work I did in 1997 on Starship Troopers was my first motion picture graphics and first lead graphics animator position and I continue to be humbled by the opportunity to conrtibute to a small bit of motion picture history.
