Members of the National Assembly have called for the removal of the age limit in accessing government funds for higher education-HELB. Led by Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma the MP’s who met top officials of the Education Ministry said it is wrong to deny learners below 18 years access to the Higher Education Loans, curtailing their chances for joining institutions of higher learning. Higher Education Loans Board CEO Charles Ringera said the board will formulate a policy that will allow parents to sign for learners below 18 years.
