Coke Oven Working Process Explained
In this video, we explain the Coke Oven Working Process in a simple and easy way. A coke oven is an important equipment used in steel plants and iron making industries to convert coal into coke through a high-temperature process called carbonization.
During this process, coal is heated at around 1000°C to 1200°C in the absence of oxygen, which removes volatile substances and produces hard, porous coke. This coke is mainly used in blast furnaces for iron production.
In this video, you will learn:
✔ What is a Coke Oven
✔ Coke Oven Working Process Step by Step
✔ How Coal is Converted into Coke
✔ Importance of Coke in Steel Industry
✔ Basic Concept of Carbonization Process
This video is useful for Mechanical Engineers, Diploma students, ITI students, and people working in steel plants or heavy industries who want to understand the basic working principle of coke ovens.
If you are interested in mechanical engineering, industrial equipment, and steel plant processes, make sure to watch the video till the end.
