Cause I also want you to talk a little bit about um junior golf and how any any guy watching this you know because a lot of our audience is younger yeah i guess some challenges that you've been through and also some advice you would give to the younger generation of golf that's wanting to become a professional golfer be in your shoes looks up to you and says hey one day like that i want that to be me what would you say to them right now To any junior golfer it's pretty simple Every day you're going to wake up Every day you're going to go to the golf course You're going to practice You're going to hit golf balls You're going to putt You're going to chip Play 3 or 4 holes Maybe play 9 holes And continue to do that day in and day out Day in and day out Dedication Persistence are the most important things you can possibly have when trying to be a good golfer trying to be one of the best players in the world trying to get on tour trying to get in college trying to win a tournament play a lot of junior events be dedicated practice every day get one percent better I know it's cliche I had this the saying ben hogan it defined my life every day that you're not practicing is another day somebody's getting better than you and it just stuck with me forever it's a ben hogan quote and i'll leave it at that for the junior golfers that want to know how to get better You got to dig it out of the dirt You got to go grind You got to go figure it out You got to work You're doing the trick shots How many times does it take you to finish off a trick shot Long time sometimes Long time right And there are going to be times where it's super low There's going to be a lot of times where it's super high And you got to ride it effectively You got to ride it It's going to be bumpy It's like the waves in the ocean Just try and move with it And enjoy the time you got The most important part is having fun through the journey And that's where every day waking up going to the golf course sunrise sunset whatever it is for you getting out there getting one percent better is literally the only thing you have to do to be as good as you possibly can be What's better the journey or the destination
