PowerPoint offers several ways to share your presentations with others, whether for collaboration, viewing, or presenting remotely. Here’s an overview of the main options:
Sharing via Link:
Go to File Share Share with People. If your file is saved in OneDrive or SharePoint, you can create a shareable link.
Set permissions (e.g., Can edit or Can view) and share the link by email or copying it directly.
Link sharing allows multiple users to view or edit the file simultaneously, making it great for real-time collaboration.
Exporting as PDF or Video:
Use File Export to save your presentation as a PDF, MP4 video, or even as individual images. This is ideal for sharing with people who don’t need to edit the file or for creating shareable content for online platforms.
For videos, you can select slide timing and narration options, making it perfect for creating self-running presentations or tutorials.
Sending as an Email Attachment:
Under File Share Email, you can send the presentation directly from PowerPoint as an attachment, either as a PowerPoint file or PDF.
This is a convenient option if you want to send the presentation in its original format but don’t need real-time collaboration.
Presenting Online (PowerPoint Live):
PowerPoint offers Present Live, where you can present remotely through Microsoft Teams or a web link. Attendees can view the presentation live on their devices and even follow along with automatic subtitles in different languages.
Under Slide Show Present Online, you can choose to present to anyone with the link, making it accessible for both formal presentations and casual sharing with a remote audience.
Saving to OneDrive or SharePoint for Real-Time Collaboration:
Save your presentation to OneDrive or SharePoint and share it with others by inviting them to edit. This allows real-time updates, where multiple users can work on the same file simultaneously.
Use the Comments pane for feedback and suggestions, enabling easy collaboration without needing multiple file versions.
Embedding on Websites or Sharing on Social Media:
For sharing on websites or blogs, go to File Share Embed and generate an embed code. This creates an interactive PowerPoint viewer on the webpage.
You can also export slides as images and share them on social media if you want to use individual slides as standalone visual content.
PowerPoint’s sharing features are flexible, catering to different needs like real-time collaboration, view-only options, or remote presentations, making it easy to share with others however you need.
