Testing a $6 DIY Cold Plate Mod on the Snapmaker U1! 🧊
In this video, I'm using a basic Chinese-made cold plate—originally designed for the Creality K2 in 270x293mm—to print PLA on the Snapmaker U1 at just 30°C.
I modified the plate by adding two grooves to act as positioning locks, just like the stock Snapmaker plate. A full "Making Of" mod video will be coming soon!
When I bought this two weeks ago, stock-style clones weren't available yet, so I went with this $6 Creality-compatible version. Why not? Let's see how a budget-friendly mod holds up!
