Here's a basic recipe for making fish fry:
Ingredients:
500 grams of fish fillets (any firm white fish like tilapia, cod, or halibut)
1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
1 teaspoon of red chili powder
1 teaspoon of coriander powder
1 teaspoon of cumin powder
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of ginger powder
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
1 cup of all-purpose flour
1/2 cup of cornflour or rice flour
Oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Rinse the fish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
2. In a bowl, mix turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and lemon juice to make a marinade.
3. Coat the fish fillets with the marinade and let them sit for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
4. In a shallow dish, mix all-purpose flour and cornflour or rice flour.
5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
6. Dredge each fish fillet in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
7. Fry the fish fillets in the hot oil for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
8. Remove the fish from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
9. Serve hot with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy your fish fry
