We are taking a walk together through the Nguyen Hue walking street in the beautiful Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. Right now, the whole country is celebrating the Lunar New Year, and we can see a lot of beautiful decorations in the street set up for the holiday.
Tết, or Tết Nguyên Đán, is the biggest holiday in Vietnam. In Ho Chi Minh City, streets light up with flowers, red decorations, and markets. Families clean and decorate their homes, prepare traditional dishes like bánh tét, and gather for a reunion dinner on New Year’s Eve.
At midnight, fireworks fill the sky, and during the first days of Tết, people visit relatives, give lucky money in red envelopes, and enjoy the famous flower displays along Nguyễn Huệ Street. It’s a joyful time full of color, food, and family.
