ANU National Security College's Jennifer Parker discusses NATO’s recent pledge to increase defence spending to 5 per cent of GDP.
“If we think about the NATO defence spending, they’ve already committed to 3.5 per cent of GDP on core defence issues by 2035,” Ms Parker told Sky News Australia.
“The additional 1.5 that gets them to 5.0 is actually more on strategic resilience, so critical infrastructure, investing in civil preparedness, those kinds of things.”
