New Delhi: The Municipal Corporation of India (MCD) has taken bulldozer action on the property of Nizamuddin, the main accused in the murder of a youth on Holi in Uttam Nagar. Officials confirmed that illegal structures linked to the accused are being demolished following the brutal murder of a 25-year-old youth during Holi celebrations. Seven arrests, including a minor, have been made so far in the case, and the investigation is ongoing, with police security heightened. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has also called for stricter punishment to prevent such atrocities in the future.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta described the murder as "heartbreaking, condemnable, and shocking." She emphasized the city's strong stance against heinous acts. In a post, she said that Delhi has a zero-tolerance policy for such heinous criminal and violent incidents. Such brutality will not be tolerated at any cost. Clear and strict instructions have been given to the administration to immediately arrest all those involved in this crime and ensure the strictest and swiftest action against them as per the law. The Delhi government stands with the victim's family with full sympathy, responsibility, and firmness in this difficult time.
