Behinds the scenes footage of Southern Hues partner farms, natural dye plants and original dyehouse. This was shot in 2012 as we harvested and selected our colors for our Fall/Winter scarf line. No real educational information in this one regarding dyeing, but some cool music and good imagery of dye plants.
Southern Hues was a Nashville, Tennessee fashion line which worked with a network of regional farmers raise to natural dye crops such as indigo and osage orange as part of a clean and diverse agriculture system. Farms featured in this video include our own Stony Creek Farm and Hungry Gnome Farm both in Whites Creek, TN. This collection was shut down so founder Sarah could focus on scaling up a real, traceable and transparent plant-based indigo supply.
