A TEMPORARY box is folded in one piece to house a 4 wire 240 volt 50 amp receptacle. This is what I do when a trip to town is not a good idea. This will safely get me by for a few days until a UL listed receptacle box can be purchased. It is not recommended that you do this for yourself for an extension cord. However the technique for laying out the simple box is the REAL focus of the video, just to show another way to make a simple box out of one piece of metal of any reasonable size.
A box and pan brake would be nice, but it is not necessary. A spot welder would be nice but it too is not necessary. A small tinner's hammer would be nice as well but again, it is not necessary. These are simple boxes that can serve many purposes in and around a workshop, just change the dimensions to suit.
Remember, do not do as I say and do not do as I do. Do your own thing and be proud of it. When it comes to electricity always error on the side of safety. That'll be the best practice.
