Day 3 of our first family trip to Japan! 🇯🇵
Today we woke up to surprisingly clear skies and decided to explore more of Tokyo. We started the morning with a peaceful walk through Rikugien Garden, one of Tokyo’s most beautiful traditional gardens. After that we headed to Ueno to visit Cafe Lapin for a cozy breakfast before exploring Ueno Park and Shinobazu Pond.
Along the way we tried street food, visited shrines, and explored the busy market area. We even tried whale sashimi for the first time. Later I took my parents for a massage after a lot of walking, and we spent some time in a Japanese arcade playing drum games and claw machines.
We ended the day visiting Nakamise Shopping Street and Kaminarimon Gate near Senso-ji Temple, trying desserts and even stopping by a dog cafe.
This trip has been such a special experience traveling with my parents and brother, and I’m sharing some of the little cultural things we’ve learned along the way.
