After many days of deliberation, Thom decided to go to the school to resign from her janitorial job. With Thao and Loi having left, she realized it was impossible to manage both housework and an outside job without sacrificing time to care for her family.

When she returned home, Thom immediately started tending to her vegetable garden. At that moment, Cuong – her boyfriend – stopped by. Not only did he bring warmth and emotional support, but he also helped her craft unique scarecrows to keep the poultry away and protect her small garden.

After finishing her gardening work, Thom made time to visit her parents. There, she discovered that her father’s health had deteriorated significantly, to the point where he had just returned from the hospital. Concerned and burdened by her family responsibilities, Thom became even more determined to sacrifice her personal career to wholeheartedly care for her loved ones.
