The Great Divide of Wales - Aran Fawddwy.
Sorry a longer video than usual but I couldn't resist!
A fantastic winter hike up one of my favourite Snowdonia peaks the awesome Aran Fawddwy in Southern Snowdonia. The river Dovey rises immediately below Aran Fawddwy summit from the wonderful lake Creiglyn Dyfi, all around the southern and eastern flanks of this mountain are cliffs, buttresses and crags forming the dividing line between North Wales and the rest of Wales - The Great Divide! South of Aran Fawddwy which is the highest mountain south of Yr Wyddfa (Mt Snowdon) the land changes and no more will you encounter rock peaks like those of Snowdonia in Mid or South Wales.
I have put the route map on the video for those who are interested, there are also great routes up this mountain from Cwm Hengwm and Cwm Cywarch.
