Take a Look at what happened at HOW WOMEN LEAD
On the 26 of September, incredible women got together at 8:30 am at West World. First there was this energy buzz in the room everyone meeting new people, and after the opening from Dr. Kristine Quade, it all started with Katharine Halpin, she was amazing.
We got to listen to her story: "We come from love and we come from fear. Leaders who fail, fail themselves." "Focus on where you are and were you want to be. Ask yourself, what are your non negotiable expectations. What your are not willing to compromise in the outcomes. When you don't tell you will get disappointed, instead, try to bring out the best in people, Take action and responsibilities. Create a safe space for people then you can work together. Keep that in balance".
Next we heard from Diana Muturia, with a one-way ticket from Keyna to USA, how at 26 years old is turning to a Boss Lady. "You have to get to a very low point in life to change - lessons come form life experiences- put your heart and soul in everything that you do".
Carey Conley- "Time is precious; I was at a time I had to make a shift of the first row seats you have in your life. You only have 10 seats, so make that count. Those will determine your path for success. Have that confidence in yourself and exude that confidence." When you have a purpose- you will be unstoppable. Learn to have a better relationship with fear."
Deborah Peck "You have to identify the key people in your organization that are the culture carriers. They are usually high potential elements and also called Hubs the are highly connected with people and influence the broader organization
Dena Patton "You where born with 2 voices inside your head. The smallness and the greatness voice. Harness that Greatness voice, once you discover to overpower that smallness voice you can truly discover the greatness you were destined for."
Marianne "Why Trust matters in Leadership? For Business, companies with a trusting culture will have an advantage in attracting talent. For people, environments lacking trust cause stress and anxiety, while trusting environments are fun and energizing. For communities, places where members feel safe and supported to come together for common purpose so they can thrive". Women tend to Swift Trust, we have that opportunity, we trust faster more often, then later we verify and adjusts trust beliefs accordingly.
