On nearby Mengo Hill is Lubiri Palace, the former seat of the Buganda Kingdom.
Gayaza is a vibrant town in Uganda's Wakiso District, known for its mix of local culture, markets, and proximity to Kampala, offering a blend of urban and rural experiences, with notable landmarks like Gayaza High School and various agricultural/research institutes nearby, all accessible via the Kampala–Gayaza Road.
