Ngaben Ceremony - Cremation in Bali (Ngringkes Procession)

Описание: Ngaben ceremony is a unique ritual by Hindus in Bali which aims to deliver the souls of humans who have died to heaven. This cremation model ceremony begins with the Ngringkes process or bathing the corpse. In this process we can see the corpse being bathed in a unique ritual to clean the body before returning to its original place. According to Hindu belief in Bali that the human body consists of five elements (Panca Maha Butha). Furthermore, the five elements are solid matter, water, air, fire and empty space.

Meanwhile, the Ngaben Cremation Ceremony takes several days as a series of ceremonies. The Ngringkes ceremony is one of the important processions in this ceremony. The body is placed on a bamboo and covered with banana leaves. This procession is believed to clean human remains from bad things before they are sent to the cemetery.

The body will be brought to the cemetery using the (Wadah) that is carried by the local people. After that, the body will be burned until it becomes ashes.
