The University of Sargodha celebrated 10th anniversary of China Pakistan Economic Corridor | CPEC

Описание: The University of Sargodha celebrated the 10th anniversary of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. In this regard, Pakistan Institute of China Studies (PICS) UoS, in collaboration with the Department of Politics and International Relations organized a seminar titled “Celebrating 10th anniversary of CPEC.”
The seminar was graced by the Consul General of China Lahore, Zhao Shireen, the Vice Chancellor UoS Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, Ambassador Naghmana A. Hashmi, Director Pakistan Institute of China Studies UoS Dr. Fazal ur Rahman, eminent scholar Dr. Sundas Khizar and a number of senior faculty members and students.
Addressing the seminar, Mr. Zhao Shireen emphasized the need for Pakistan to assume complete ownership of this flagship project. By assuming full ownership and executing the project wisely, Pakistan can maximize the benefits derived from the CPEC and continue its journey towards economic progress” he said.
The Consul General also lauded the efforts of the University of Sargodha in strengthening people to people contact between Pakistan and China.
Sharing his insights on the CPEC project, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas emphasized the significance of the CPEC project, a substantial leap forward in terms of economic development, infrastructure enhancement, and improved livelihoods for the people of Pakistan.
