A national award-winning actor and playwright, Arun Mukhopadhyay is one of the most noted and influential playwrights from Bengal. The supremely talented thespian is known for his long-standing association with the theatre group called `Chetna` as an actor as well as a writer.

Apart from being a brilliant writer and an actor, the veteran is also an author and has written many plays including classics like Marich Sangbad, which was also translated into English by Utkal Mohanty.
