Day two in Hakuba valley, skiing at Tsugaike Mountain Resort ❄️🏔️
It is one of the 10 ski resorts in Hakuba Valley.
It snowed heavily that day, and some other resorts were closed, so we came here, recommended by the ski rental shop. It’s known for reliable lift access even in deep snow and higher chance of more lifts being open on heavy snow days.
Tsugaike has runs for all levels, and the cable car has two stops, so beginners can get off halfway or head to the top for longer runs.
A quieter, less crowded resort, it was the perfect choice for a full day of fresh powder skiing. I would love to come back one day on a clear day to see what it is like.
