Shelter India is an organisation which is built on the concept of creating a reliable platform which will link the needy ones and the donors who can help them. Only deserving cases are put forward and bought under the projects.

SHELTER receives applications from individuals or local coordinators. Volunteers visits the location and enquire the case with most appropriate people in the locality. Based on discussions and feedbacks importance of helping the case is brought into the attention of local coordinator. If further help is needed in the case, SHELTER takes up this project by allocating a local coordinator and site engineer with a project plan and estimation. Project will be announced to shelter members, fund will be collected with receipt and acknowledgement, execute the project by shelter team without handing over the money to the individual.

All the project reports are documented, stored, shared to the relevant people and audited. Donors and receivers details are kept anonymous from the public in a very secret manner. For example, hospital treatment bill will be paid directly, food will be handed over to respective shops/ hotels, dresses will be distributed to the individuals, houses are constructed/ renovated by team shelter directly etc.
