I use the Dremel and a small polishing wheel for this, and the polish is just an all purpose brown polishing stick that I got from Harbor Freight Tools. The frets dirty up the wheel quickly, and I usually do have to use some naphtha to clean up the edges of the frets as it leaves behind some black residue.
