Today we'd like to show you a particularly gorgeous die-cut edition of a 17th century poem called I Saw a Peacock with a Fiery Tale.

This version of the well-known folk tale from England was published by TaraBooks -- a publishing firm based in Chennai, India. The book was illustrated by Ramsingh Urveti -- an award winning illustrator from India.

The poem itself is considered a trick verse. Depending on how each line is read, it is either a fantastical story or it makes complete sense to the reader. Using gorgeous black and white drawings and brilliant design -- including die cuts, the reader is presented with a different way of viewing a book.
