Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on February 27, revealed the squad set to go to space as part of the Gaganyaan mission. The crew will have four astronauts, Group Captain P Balakrishnan Nair, Group Captain Ajit Krishnan, Group Captain Angad Pratap and Wing Commander S Shukla. The Gaganyaan mission will demonstrate India's human spaceflight capability by launching astronauts to an orbit 400 kilometres above the Earth for a 3-day mission.
