42 Indian Pilgrims Killed in Saudi Bus Crash; Hyderabad Families Shattered, Govts Respond |

The group had traveled from Hyderabad on November 9 and was returning to Medina after performing Umrah in Mecca when their bus collided with a diesel tanker and burst into flames.

The Telangana government has contacted the Indian Embassy in Riyadh and set up a control room to help families. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has ordered immediate coordination with the External Affairs Ministry, Saudi authorities, and India’s Resident Commissioner in Delhi to confirm identities and assist the affected.

Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has urged the Centre to ensure the bodies are brought back and that any injured receive proper medical care. Meanwhile, the Consulate General of India in Jeddah has opened a 24×7 helpline for support.
