Описание: Shravan Kummar hails from the classical city of Hyderabad and has been working in fashion since the mid-1990s. He completed formal training at the National Institute of Fashion Technology in India and did post-graduate training in color and fashion psychology at London College of Fashion. He considers Fashion to be his religion rather than his profession. He has become well known in India and abroad for his unusual creations using the rich variety of handloom textiles available in India and primarily uses sustainable, organically dyed, and hand woven natural fiber fabrics. He works with master weavers, tambour embroiderers, and talented crafts people and supports these communities by integrating their fabulous textiles in his fashion designs. He has shown his collections as New York, Paris, and London fashion weeks, as well as fashion weeks in Dubai, Toronto, Vancouver, Eco Fashion Week Australia, and in his home country for India Fashion Week. Shravan was named Cornell University's Distinguished Nixon Speaker in the Department of Fiber Science and Apparel Design in 2018, and this fashion show was part of his dynamic presentation.
